We did Hanging bridges + volcano hike + hot spring in early October, super small group as it’s low season, hanging bridges park was our favorite! Carlos, our guide, was the best, knowledgeable, helpful, and worked the telescope like magic to spot animals! We got beautiful weather and the Arenal volcano was marvelous. This past week my husband and I took a tour to the Arenal Volcano, LaFortuna Waterfall, Meleku Village, lunch (very good) and the Hot Springs! Our tour guide was Diago and Max. We had an awesome time! Great value for the money! Diago was fantastic! I’m 63 and have bad knees, I wear a brace on one and my other knee was replaced about 4 years ago. Diago, definitely went the extra mile to ensure my safety and that I was able to get the best experience I could! He was so pleasant, treated us like family and very knowledgeable! Realizamos la excursión con esta empresa, a través de la página de tripadvisor. Estás desde las 7:15 de la mañana que te recogen (dependiendo de tu hotel), hasta las 18 hs aprox. De la tarde, disfrutando al máximo. Nosotros comenzamos caminando hacia la cascada La Fortuna para poder bañarnos en ese enclave natural tan maravilloso. Un INCONVENIENTE grande para gente que tenga la movilidad algo reducida, es que con la empresa que realizas esta actividad, tiene el acceso más complicado a la cascada, teniendo que cruzar el río y andar por un trozo de piedras bastante resbaladizo y “técnico”, que ni siquiera con escarpines es seguro, pues mejor llevar zapatilla de agua con suela rígida. Los quinientos escalones de bajada bien, pero cuando hay que subirlos el esfuerzo es mayor (si tienes buena forma física no hay problema ninguno). Para nuestro gusto SOBRA la visita a la villa indígena, ya que es simplemente para intentar venderte algo, cosa que es muy evidente, ya que todas las casitas que ves ahí, están llenas de productos artesanales para los grupos que llegan allí hacerles una “demostración”. La comida que te incluye es un casado, con limonada, agua y café. De ahí vas al otro lado del volcán a seguir con la caminata y conocer el lago verde, para posteriormente, acabar disfrutando una hora de las termas, donde te invitan a una bebida alcohólica también típica. Nuestro guía Max, nos enseñó muchísimas cosas a lo largo del día, con unas explicaciones muy completas. Un tour buenísimo, sin lugar a dudas, qué relación precio/calidad está super bien, muy completo. Hemos reservado por civitatis una experiencia increíble para visitar la Cascada la Fortuna y el volcan Arenal y nos ha atendido esta empresa. He knows where the animals are and knowledgable about them. We were in a group of 10 and Chris took time to take all our pictures on the hanging bridge. Our package includes the hanging bridge, volacno hike , la fortuna waterfalls and hot springs. I didnt feel rushed on any of the locations. The 12 hrs itinerary didnt feel long when you are having fun. It rained while we were in La Fortuna falls but it just made the moment more magical. We skipped the last stop which is the hot springs since there were thunder and lightning later on. Its for our own safety. We didnt mind since we have hot spring pools in our hotel. Highly recommend this tour. Just note there is alot of walking.
